Temporary Mobile Architecture — Workshop / Artist Residency
FACTATORY is a flexible, mobile architectural unit developed for artist residencies and gallery use in Lyon. The project combines workshop, living, and exhibition functions into a single adaptable structure, designed to evolve with different uses and contexts.
Produced and constructed in collaboration with students from Les Grands Ateliers de France, the project emphasised collective building, learning through making, and modular design strategies. Acting as both an educational and architectural exercise, FACTATORY demonstrates how lightweight construction systems can support temporary cultural infrastructure.
The structure was conceived for mobility and reconfiguration, allowing it to be assembled, adapted, and potentially relocated, responding to changing programmatic needs.
