MANIFESTA 9

2012 — Arnhem, NL / Genk, BE
Art Production — MANIFESTA 9

Production of a series of lead castings for artist Rossella Biscotti, presented at MANIFESTA 9 in Genk, Belgium. The works were developed in collaboration with Kevin van Braak, translating the artist’s conceptual approach into precise physical artefacts.

The project involved working with highly specific reclaimed material, sourced from the floor of a disused nuclear reactor in Eastern Europe. This introduced both technical and logistical challenges, requiring careful handling, processing, and casting methods to preserve the material’s narrative while achieving the desired form and finish.

Client: Rossella Biscotti
